PUERH TEA
Categorized as post-fermented tea, Pu-erh Teas (Black Teas) are distinctive Chinese tea among the international tea market. With its long established history, Hun Nan province’s Pu-erh gains its famous reputation in both ancient and modern time. Its unique tea processing method includes: pan frying, hand rolling, compressing, and roasting, etc. Compressing is the most important process to decide the quality and the unique charateristic of this Black Tea.
Pu-erh Teas are named after the Pu-erh County in Hun Nan province. The making of Raw Pu-erh is by compressing raw Mao Cha directly, a non-fermented rough large leaves, which gives a strong taste but a mellow aroma. Cooked Pu-erh is processed with Mao Cha that is already fermented for a while before it is being compressed, which gives a deeper in taste.
